Jessica was like one of my dream brides. So detailed and excited (her excitement was seriously contagious)! She came to me and told me that she knew I was her photographer even before Josh proposed (head growing bigger…joking). Then she even changed her date when she found out I wasn’t available. I love her! And Josh, too, of course. So much fun working with them both! They had a gorgeous day for the wedding! The beautiful bride and her handsome groom laughed and cried through the ceremony (so sweet). Then spent the evening dancing the night away!

Thank you so much, you two, for having Angie and I as part of your day! It was a complete and total honor and I can’t wait to work with you, again, in the future.

My niece, Christie, loves doing shoots with me and vice versa. She’s awesome. She works the camera and is up for whatever I suggest. We talked about doing a Rock the Dress session, I think even before the wedding! About a year plus following her wedding, we finally got to do it. Wow. The light couldn’t have been more perfect that day, the scenes were so cool and as I said – Christie was up for anything (even getting into the freezing cold water). Maybe it’s because she’s an artist, but she totally sees my vision (has a great one of her own) and even catches things that I might miss. I loved this session! Girls – it’s a must, if you want to put on that gown, again, and rock it like Christie did.

I’d like to add, too, that the effects you see below were done in camera. Everyone thinks I’m some kind of photoshop wizard and I’m really not. It always cracks me up when someone says – can you add a person to this photo or add this background? Sorry, I’m sure there are people who can, but I’m not one of them. Of course, I know how to use photoshop. It’s essential to remove blemishes and do the occasional head swap (when you have super large groups and somebody blinks!). But I’d rather consider myself a camera wizard – which is a must for any photographer – there are some things you just can’t fix in photoshop. So, anyway, the effect you see in some of these images is from a cool lens my husband got me. It’s called Lensbaby! I love it when it comes to adding some blur to an image. It’s super fun! It’s not easy, but when you find that “sweet spot” (the part of the image you want in focus) – the results are pretty amazing.

Gio + James’ are so cute together and I had a great time hanging out with the two of them during the engagment session. The leaves were just starting to turn when we met last Fall, so we headed over to Millcreek. Then to see Gio’s dad’s collector Limousine that once belonged to Don King (hope I got that right ), so we had to grab a few fun shots with that. Loving their style and can’t wait for the wedding!

Kim + Camden are college sweethearts (total sweethearts by themselves, but together – even sweeter). They were engaged in Russia! I got to see the pictures when we first met….beautiful. They also picked out matching rings while they were there and I wish now that I would’ve written down the interpretation of what they say (again, very sweet). I had so much fun capturing their engagement and their winter wedding (which just happened to be on an absolutely warm gorgeous day in Pittsburgh – no winter involved). More to come of these two!

I totally loved working with Ciara + Brian! We had so much fun at the engagement and the wedding! Their faces have become so familiar (two of my past brides were part of the bridal party!) and I get to see them, again, at today’s wedding! The beauty of my clients becoming friends. The beauty of their day was even more amazing…tears, laughter, all of it was beautiful! I mean, he sang to her at the altar and at the reception (a song he recorder for her) – seriously, like something out of a movie. Very special people…see for yourself…

So exactly one week later (after my first Youngstown Club wedding) – I had another reception at The Youngstown Club! Only this time it was for the owner of the building’s daughter – so I got some cool insight about different things inside the building (like the elevator guy ) and even got to go up on the roof for some city skyline shots. Talley & Steve and their families and friends were fantastic and so much fun to work with. Pictures at the Royal Oaks brought a unique (and very entertaining) twist to the bride and groom’s formals. My favorite dj/good friend, Branden Morales, provided the entertainment. And I was assisted by a talented photography student from YSU, Kathleen! It was really an amazing day! One I would love to do all over, again. Thank you, Talley & Steve, for having me as a part of it!

Stephanie + Matt | Youngstown, OH Wedding Photographer

On quite possibly the hottest day of the summer – Stephanie + Matt were married in a beautiful old church with no air conditioning – wow, was it hot. But I remember much more about there day than that. The look on Matt’s face when he saw her for the first time (they did a first look in the balcony at the church…so cool), the gorgeous pictures we got to take inside and outside of Stambaugh afterward and getting to work with Stephanie and her family, again, was so fun (I shot her sister’s wedding the year before)! The photo booth was a huge hit at The Youngstown Club (a place I will definitely miss, so sad it has closed). I, also, remember that Stephanie absolutely loves black and white, so I was sure to include lots of them here. Some of my favorites from their day, which I was completely honored to be a part of.
