I seriously love Pittsburgh.  My affinity for it started many years ago when I worked in the city briefly and it grew with my career as a photographer.  It is beautiful there and there is so much to do!  So I never pass up a chance to shoot there…and usually, if Angie can’t come, my husband and my little will tag along, so we can hang out afterward (which they did).  🙂

Cue freezing cold, rainy day and Danielle & John coming all the way from Columbus for their engagement in the ‘Burgh (ie. no way we can reschedule).  It didn’t matter…these two made it totally worth it.  How adorable are they together?!  They had me smiling the whole time as I was looking through my lens.  I knew these were going to be gorgeous because of them, even if the weather chose not to cooperate (which it somehow did – no rain while we were shooting!)  John is a baseball coach, so Danielle really wanted to incorporate that into the session and they found a great field just before getting into the city.  I love, love, love this ring shot.

Be sure to leave them some love below!  I can’t wait for the wedding and to get to see Danielle’s family, again (her sister and brother-in-law were in front of my camera a couple of years ago).  🙂

Another new place that I got to shoot an engagement at recently was near Packard Music Hall in Warren, OH.  My beautiful little cousin, Chrissy, and her handsome fiance, Joe, went on a search for a cool location and found it!  Metal bridge, stone walls, the river, very pretty.  We decided as a contrast to head to Dave Grohl Alley afterward.  This is not a new location for me, but wow! – seems like they are always adding some new pieces to it.  Not sure how long ago they put these in, but the colorful trio image of Grohl and the steel? sculpture of a drummer and his kit were pretty awesome.  Such a pleasure to get to work with Chrissy and Joe.  My grandparents and Chrissy’s grandparents were super close and hers were always around when I was growing up.  I know that my grandparents would be so pleased that Chrissy and I get to work with each other this way and it’s given me a chance to keep up with her and become closer cousins.  🙂  I’m so excited for their wedding next year!  Check out some of my favorites from their Fall session and be sure to leave a comment for them below!

Taking a little break from editing this afternoon to play a little blog catch up!  I am always excited to head to Pittsburgh.  It is…hands down…one of my favorite places to be.  Josephine and Brandon will be getting married in New Castle next Spring, but since they live in Pittsburgh – we decided to head down there for their engagement session.  Bonus that we started in a park I had never been to before (a gorgeous park that was dog friendly!).  They wanted to include Digger for the first part of the session and what a sweetheart he turned out to be!  Then we headed to the strip district for the 2nd part of the session, where Angie and I got to finish up the night in Primanti Bros.  Yum!  These are just a few of my favorites from their engagement…can’t wait for the wedding!  Hoping Digger will be able to make an appearance…lol.  🙂

P.S. – Josephine has the best taste in shoes…don’t you think?!

What an awesome family I got to work with a couple of weeks ago!  I’ve known Mary & Matt for quite awhile and always thought they were such a sweet couple on their own.  Now that they have kids – as you can see, they are as sweet as mom & dad!  🙂  I was super excited when Mary asked if I could do a session of the kids and I suggested that we had to get some family photos in their, too.  We headed out to the farms in the evening when the lighting is the absolute best.  We worked for some smiles (with Angie doing most of the work behind me…singing everything from ABC’s to Elmo’s World).  We even gave them a duet – which resulted in my fav family picture.  Yes, those are real laughs from Matt & Mary.  They are laughing at us…lol.  Thank you so much, you two, for having me capture your beautiful family!  It was so much fun and I’m still smiling when I think about that evening!  🙂

Wow, this Spring and Summer have been incredibly busy!  This wedding kicked off an eight wedding stretch through May and June.  I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun Angie and I have had this year with our couples and their friends and families.  This day was definitely no exception.  Along with all of the amazing little details Kristie and Mitch had, she put out quite the spread of props for the Live Photo Booth and their guests had a ball with them!

We started out the day in Shenango Valley RV Park where the girls were getting ready and then headed over to Grace Chapel Community Church for a beautiful ceremony, in which Kristie & Mitch literally “tied the knot”.

Kristie & Mitch’s little boy is an absolute baby doll and was their ring bearer.  🙂

After the ceremony, we headed to the flower garden where the tulips were in full bloom!  The guys also came up with the idea of a “faux” selfie…lol.
