If I had to describe Katie & Nathan’s Sharon, PA wedding in one word – elegant.  New Year’s Day, fur coats, beautiful decor and The Corinthian…so gorgeous.  I love that she changed her dress for the first dance!  These two met, like most people meet these days – online.  The internet must be doing something right, because they are perfect for each other.  They keep each other laughing and Nathan’s love for Katie extends right thru to her little boy.  Their bond was very obvious to me, especially during the ceremony (check out the little guy sitting at the altar as they exchanged their vows…so adorable!)  I, also, love when a parent of the bride or groom serves as the officiant.  I’ve seen it many times through-out my career.  It’s so personal and emotional.  Nathan’s dad was the officiant for their ceremony.

Katie & Nathan – thank you so much for including us in your special day!  I wish you many years of happiness together!!

Athena & Ronnie’s Warren, Oh wedding at St. Demetrio’s was emotional to say the least.  Her father not only gave her away, but he was, also, the officiant.  I don’t think there was a dry eye in the church when Rev. Valantasis spoke of the day he brought his daughter home from the hospital.  It still brings a tear to my eye when I think of it.

We began that chilly day at Lake Newport for their first look.  This was probably the quietest, most peaceful first look I’ve ever done.  The lake was so quiet and the boardwalk was empty, except for us.  Then we headed to the flower garden for some quick formals and off to the church.  I had never been to St. Demetrio’s before that day – wow, so beautiful!

Here is a link to the highlight video created by Mike Tsagares of Acclaim Productions – highly recommend him and Judy for videography every time! 🙂

Thank you for having Jamie & I as part of your day, Ronnie & Athena!!  It was truly an honor.  <3

Canfield Oh Mini Sessions

I don’t offer mini sessions often, but Angie & I truly enjoyed doing Christmas Mini’s in early November last year!  One of the main reasons was, of course, our awesome clients.  Another was the great weather we had.  It was warm for that time of year and so fun to shoot Christmas sessions without having to bundle ourselves up!  The little ones especially did better, because they weren’t cold!  So we decided to add a new date for mini’s – a summertime session.

The Who and The Why: This session is meant for anyone!  Families, kids, pets!  Whether you’ll be using your images for Christmas Cards or not – now’s the time to update your wall art!  Bring props or don’t bring props – it’s your choice (we will have some with us).  🙂

The When: July 6th – beginning at 4 and ending at 9 – each session being booked in  20 minute increments (4, 4:20, 4:40, etc…through 8:40).  Your slot will only be considered booked when the session is paid for.  No changes to time or refunds will be made after you are booked – so please be sure this is the time you would like.  A rain date will be scheduled, if we happen to get rained out.

The Where:  Canfield Metro Park Farms, 7574 Columbiana-Canfield Road, Canfield, OH 44406 – across the street from the Canfield Fairgrounds.  Pretty barns, fields, trees – we will go where the light is best at your time.

The What – You will receive three digital files of your choice with printing rights along with your 20 minute session delivered electronically.  Mini session fee will be $100 with the option to upgrade your purchase to all of the digital files for $75, after receiving your gallery.

The How – To book your session time, simply give me a call at 724-971-2146 or send me an email – michelle@mmgphotographystudio.com to see if the time you’d like is available.  I will then send you your agreement and invoice thru Honeybook.  Once you sign and pay – you’re all set!

Thank you!!  Can’t wait!

Katie & Kyle celebrated their absolutely gorgeous Canfield wedding reception at Avion on the Lake.  So many amazing handmade details!  But let’s go back to the beginning – we met that morning to get some prep images and Katie getting ready.  She had a little gown for her dog (aka – her first baby)!  It was so sweet (see the pictures below)!  Then we headed over to St. James Meeting Place in Boardman Park for a beautiful ceremony and some pics with Kyle’s dad’s classic car afterward – so cool.  Millcreek was where they chose to do their bridal party formals where we had such a great time with this crew.  I think you’ll be able to tell from the images below.  We had literally hours to hit some different locations and have some fun.

The reception, needless to say, was a ball.  Between the photo booth and the dance floor, they had us cracking up for most of the night.  Back to those details – the cake topper was created from an image from the engagement session!  I loved the leaf ornaments…and the cookies – yum!

So happy that they chose me to capture their day!!  It truly was awesome.  🙂

Jordan & Andy were planning on including a classic car in their engagement session, so I immediately thought of Struthers.  I love this location!  Many don’t know that Struthers is where I spent the first decade of my life.  Probably 90% or more of my relatives are still there and it’s also where my parents own love story began.  🙂  It kind of holds a place in my heart and the memories flood back when I’m there.  We started off at this amazing old steel bridge.  You know the kind where you can see through the bottom?  Yeah, it kind of freaks me out a little (not a fan of heights), but I do love shooting on it – so I try not to look down…lol.  The streets of “downtown” are full of textures and color and then a walk away is the park.  I met a Selah’s employee that night and he asked why I liked shooting there?  I told him to look around.  It’s gorgeous!  I think I see it with a different eye than him. 😉

Jordan & Andy were awesome.  They completely rocked their entire session!  I’m pretty sure that their December wedding is going to be one of my favorites this year.  🙂
