So Erin & Kyle are this awesome couple residing in Texas.  We met for the very first time on FaceTime.  Modern day tech still amazes me that you can actually meet face to face with a couple even though they are a thousand miles away…it’s so cool!  I knew right away that I wanted to work with them and was pretty excited that they felt the same way.

Fast forward to Summer, finally we get to meet in person!  They chose to do a first look – which is when the couple see’s each other prior to the ceremony.  This is such a great choice when you don’t want to have a big break between the ceremony and reception or even if you just want to get rid of the jitters before walking down the aisle.  Seeing each other in private is a sure thing and such a romantic moment.  So we met up with them at Lanterman’s Mill for the reveal and then took care of all of their bridal party formals before they even said “I do”!  Then we headed to St. James in Boardman Park.  I loved the “tying the knot” irish tradition that they added to their ceremony.

DJ Branden kept the party going at Avion and with such a great group, we ended up with a lot of fun dance shots!

Thank you, Erin & Kyle, again!  It was such an honor (and so much fun!) to be a part of your celebration!  🙂

Rebecca & Rick could not stop smiling and laughing.  Well, except for the tears when they first saw each other that day.  🙂  They seriously gave me all the feels.  So sweet.  The location they chose for their formals was, also, pretty much awesome.  I had never been to these old coke ovens before, but I definitely will be going back.  It was amazing.

The Links at Firestone was the site of their reception and they made sure they had plenty of time for more pictures there.  I had such a great time exploring with them.  I’ve been to The Links several times and didn’t realize there was a waterfall there!

A lot of great Irish details throughout the day and some beautiful embroidered doilies that meant a lot to Rebecca (here grandma had made some of them and she and her mom made the rest).

All and all, it was a perfect day.  So glad to have been a part of it!  Thank you so much for including Andie and I in your celebration, Rebecca & Rick!  🙂

Jessica & Jeff’s wedding earlier this year was perfect!  The weather, the bridal party, the day, and especially, the couple – from start to finish.  🙂  We started out that morning at the Salon at Creekside with Jess and her girls.  The girls were creating Bitmojis (this app is a must…lol) as they waited to get their hair/make-up done (by Sin Pretty Beauty) and were cracking us up.  A quick visit with Jeff and the guys and then we arrived at Jessica’s parents’ home where her dogs were all ready for their close-ups with their very own tuxes (too cute!).  Their wedding at St. Columba was beautiful.  This church is definitely one of my favorites.  What a gorgeous church to say I do in.

We had plenty of time for formals, which makes our day even more perfect.  So we visited The Butler, Youngstown Courthouse and the Cinderella Bridge before everyone danced the night away at Antone’s with The House Band.  I have to mention that her father’s speech was one of the sweetest, most heartfelt father of the bride speeches I’ve ever heard and pretty much brought everyone to tears.  I’m glad that Mike (Acclaim Productions – check out their video here) was there to capture that. <3

Jessica & Jeff – I’m so glad that you chose us to photograph your day.  I definitely feel like I’ve made some new friends along the way and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you two!

Stay tuned for Jessica’s gorgeous Rock the Dress session in Pittsburgh!!  😉

Katie & Kyle celebrated their absolutely gorgeous Canfield wedding reception at Avion on the Lake.  So many amazing handmade details!  But let’s go back to the beginning – we met that morning to get some prep images and Katie getting ready.  She had a little gown for her dog (aka – her first baby)!  It was so sweet (see the pictures below)!  Then we headed over to St. James Meeting Place in Boardman Park for a beautiful ceremony and some pics with Kyle’s dad’s classic car afterward – so cool.  Millcreek was where they chose to do their bridal party formals where we had such a great time with this crew.  I think you’ll be able to tell from the images below.  We had literally hours to hit some different locations and have some fun.

The reception, needless to say, was a ball.  Between the photo booth and the dance floor, they had us cracking up for most of the night.  Back to those details – the cake topper was created from an image from the engagement session!  I loved the leaf ornaments…and the cookies – yum!

So happy that they chose me to capture their day!!  It truly was awesome.  🙂

I may be partial when I say how beautiful a couple these two are (after all, Chrissy is my cousin 🙂 ), but seriously, though – how cute are they?!  We had such an awesome time celebrating with them on their wedding day!  Drake’s Landing was perfect and DJ Branden Morales kept the party rolling all night!  A highlight for me was watching little 6-year-old Macey (her flower girl) teach everyone perfectly how to whip and nay nay…lol.

It’s been a few times now that I’ve had some distant cousins choose me to capture their day.  One of the cool things about it is, I probably wouldn’t have been invited.  I mean, we have really big families and you just can’t invite everyone, so I get that – but I end up being there and seeing family I don’t always get to see.  I’ve become closer with Chrissy over the planning period and got to know her and Joe better than I would have otherwise!  So, yeah, I pretty much love my job in every way – including (and maybe, especially) weddings like these.  Thank you so much, Chrissy & Joe, for allowing me to be a part of it!!  Every minute I got to hang out with you two was awesome!  🙂
