Kelly and Chris’ April wedding could have gone either way weather-wise.  I checked the weather two weeks before and it said 70 degrees and sunny, but by the time we got to the 28th – it was 46 and sleeting.  Although, their outdoor wedding was not meant to be – their union definitely was (just look at those smiles).  By the time the ceremony was over, the rain/sleet had stopped and we were able to get some beautiful and really fun images outside.  These two wanted to do something different, they had told me when they met me.  So Chris brought (I believe 23 all together) Nerf guns and the battle ensued.  🙂  We had a great time with all of them.  Congratulations, Kelly & Chris, and thank you for having us as part of your day!

Succop Conservancy pronounced – suck-up – yes, that is how you say it.  It’s a family name.  The property is far more elegant and beautiful than the name it was given.  🙂  A gorgeous old home, guest house, two lakes, a barn and acres upon acres of amazing foliage.  Given it was an outdoor wedding at the end of October, I kept praying for the weather to hold out.  Lots of people must have been, because Johanna and Patrick were blessed with the best weather possible for this time of year.  Perfect for “The Reveal” on the patio, perfect for saying their vows to each other under the blue skies, perfect for dancing in the pavilion with the night surrounding them and later a bonfire to cuddle up to.  Really an awesome day.  One of my favorite shots of the year came from this day and I got to witness one of the greatest toasts ever – Johanna’s friends wrote and sang a song for her and Patrick.  The song was beautiful and so were there voices.  These two were surrounded by awesome friends and family and it was so fun to be a part of it.

Check out some of their images below, but to see more of Johanna & Patrick’s day…click on the video.

Pat & Johanna chose to see each other prior the ceremony, so we did The Reveal on the patio.

...and then we strolled around the property for a few shots.

"Mazel Tov!"

The light here was to die for and this was my favorite image of the day, if not the year.

Congratulations, Johanna & Patrick!  Thanks so much for allowing us to be there to capture your day.

The weather couldn’t have been more beautiful for Cindy and Ryan’s outdoor wedding at Lutherlyn Camp in Butler.  The setting was perfect.  It was where the two first met.  If you recall their e-session blog, we had such a hard time getting together to shoot the engagement.  It seemed the weather would go nuts every time I put them on the schedule, so you can understand why I was a little nervous about the wedding being outside.  🙂  Aside from a little sprinkle of rain here and there, it was gorgeous.  We really enjoyed working with the two and their friends and family.  Thanks so much, Cindy & Ryan, for allowing us to capture your special day!

The first time Cindy and Ryan scheduled their e-session, there was a blizzard.  The 2nd was some massive wind/rain event.  The 3rd – hail.  So when I saw the forecast last week, 80 degrees on Friday and then a 30 degree drop with rain the next, well, let’s just say I wasn’t surprised.  Every time we’ve scheduled, the weather has done something crazy – but this time we were determined.  So we headed to the site where their wedding will be taking place and it was beautiful.  Despite the chilly weather, the rain held out for the most of it and we spent two hours with these two walking through Camp Lutherlyn with it’s gorgeous views.  The outdoor amphitheater where the ceremony will take place is so pretty and the lake view is breathtaking.  The two met here as camp counselors, so it is the perfect spot to celebrate their new life together.

Thanks, Cindy and Ryan!  Glad to have finally met in person.  Looking forward to next month!

What the wind did here was simply gorgeous.

They will be saying 'I do' in this very spot in less than a month!
