Wedding Season 2015 kicked off in Spring with this super sweet couple – Brittany & Tyler.  She wore ruby red slippers and her grandmothers served as her flower girls.  So many little details that added up to such a beautiful day!  Drake’s Landing is quickly becoming one of my favorite venues and Angie and I worked there several times during the year.  You can see some of my favorite images from their day below!

So to start my “catch up phase”…flashing back to this warm weather wedding in Spring.  What a romantic day Kristin & Chris had and I can’t even say how sweet these two are.  🙂  After Kristin was dressed and ready, they opted to meet at Millcreek’s Metropark Farm for a first look.  If you haven’t heard me say it before, I love when a couple chooses to do the first look.  This moment is all about them.  I love when the groom see’s his bride and is just like, “wow”.  The farm is a perfect backdrop for that and for the formals that followed.  With one of the fastest ceremonies following (seriously, they told me it would be quick, but it was even quicker than that…lol).  Then some more gorgeousness when the sun started to set at the golf club.

How cute is Chris's mom with this blackboard at the front door. LOVE!

What an awesome family I got to work with a couple of weeks ago!  I’ve known Mary & Matt for quite awhile and always thought they were such a sweet couple on their own.  Now that they have kids – as you can see, they are as sweet as mom & dad!  🙂  I was super excited when Mary asked if I could do a session of the kids and I suggested that we had to get some family photos in their, too.  We headed out to the farms in the evening when the lighting is the absolute best.  We worked for some smiles (with Angie doing most of the work behind me…singing everything from ABC’s to Elmo’s World).  We even gave them a duet – which resulted in my fav family picture.  Yes, those are real laughs from Matt & Mary.  They are laughing at us…lol.  Thank you so much, you two, for having me capture your beautiful family!  It was so much fun and I’m still smiling when I think about that evening!  🙂

May 5th was a pretty special day – the super moon, cinco de mayo and Deanna & Josh’s union.  Beautiful persons both inside and out…as a couple – they are truly glowing.  I have loved working with them.  Their wedding was so touching and a lot of fun.  Some of my favorite images ever have come from their day.  You need to catch the video below, to be sure to see everyone’s reaction when they first saw Deanna in her gown (especially her and her mom looking in the mirror…tears).  Plus the most awesome group shot.  Most of you already know the back-story, if you follow me on Facebook.  The adorable ring bearer and flower girl misunderstood when I shouted out to the bride and groom, “okay, now kiss!”.  The results were perfect – lol.  And David’s capture of the guy’s with the super moon at the end of the night was surreal.

Thank you, Deanna & Josh, for including us as part of your day.  It has been both an honor and a pleasure and I feel like I’ve walked away with some new friends.  🙂

Be sure to check out the video for lots more!

I am so excited for Jessica and Josh’s August wedding for  many reasons!  The main one is that Jessica and Josh are just as sweet as you can possibly get.  🙂  Their love was very easy to capture and we had so much fun, even though it was like 2 degrees out that day!  Really, it was freezing – and they were awesome enough to go without coats for a few perfect shots (thanks, you two!).  Jessica has just been a sweetheart from the day she first contacted me – from choosing her date based on my availability (she said she knew she wanted me as her photographer even before they were engaged) and then being a self-proclaimed “stalker” of my blog 🙂 .  That she has such trust and faith in what I do, makes me completely thrilled to be able to transfer that energy into their day.

Thank you, Angie, for coming out with us that cold cold day!  Angie is learning the ropes, as she will be assisting me part-time this year.  She has such an awesome eye (picture #2 is her perspective) and was a huge help.  If you have ever been to White House, their resident dog (Maggie?) will completely haunt you if you throw her stick even once.  I made the mistake of tossing it out of the picture and that was it.  🙂  Angie was able to get her back up to the parking lot and out of our session.
