The past year I’ve had with Tasha & Donnie has been so much fun!  In that amount of time, I’ve photographed a Winter Engagement, a Spring Engagement, their wedding day, then a maternity session, followed up with the arrival of George!  They are, so far, my most photographed couple/family.  🙂  I love Tasha’s love of Pandas that made their way into George’s room.  And the sign that they hung above his window…pretty much says it all.

Both baby and mom were doing awesome when I got to see them before Christmas.  The panda theme carried through to his newborn session.  I picked up a panda hat, just after seeing his room during their maternity session.  Check out his panda pillow pet, too.  He is absolutely adorable and blessed with two of the sweetest parents ever.  🙂

Danielle + Jason were non-stop smiles on their wedding day.  They were both so excited to start their life together as husband and wife, you could feel the energy just being around them.  It was awesome and so fun to be a part of the day!

Love the pockets!

Every girl should have a pearl necklace or earrings. Danielle got both! 🙂

The beautiful pocket watch Danielle gave to Jason.

That first look is always my favorite.

Gorgeous shot taken by my assistant, Bill, that day. 🙂

Love seeing the images from their engagement everywhere. These were so cute!

Quite the dance party that night. I loved it!

Danielle & Jason, it was such an honor to be part of your day.  I wish you many years of happiness together!

Stylizing is so very important when it comes to your session and M’s mom totally gets it.  Angie is super creative and the owner of Oopsie Maizie.  Most of the outfits were handmade by her and so was the pinwheel!  The props were perfect for the scene…vintage luggage, an antique dolly and an old chair were brought along.  I loved everything about this session, especially the little model!  She is a sweetheart for sure.  🙂  I invite all of my clients to consult with me, if you need any help styling your session.  This one definitely needed no help.  Check out some of the awesomeness below.

While I’m making new friends all the time with what I do, sometimes I get to work with old ones (and make new ones at the same time) – which is awesome.  Donnie is a good friend of mine going back to our college years when we were  rocking around NRM Music (we both worked there in the day when music stores still existed) and hanging out at Cedars where his band and my husband’s band would often play.  Fast forward about 15 years – imagine how excited I was when he called me to ask if I would photograph his and Tasha’s wedding and then how sad I was when I realized the date they were looking at was already booked.  In a weird twist of fate a few weeks later, the couple who had originally booked the date decided they were going to move their wedding up.  I figured Tasha and Donnie at that point had found someone else, but sent him a quick email anyway.  They hadn’t and here we are!

We met in Canfield this past Saturday for part 1 of 2 engagement sessions – the (mostly) black & white wintery session.  It was cold and very snowy, but so fun.  I had a feeling it would be.  Tasha & Donnie told me that they laugh a lot when they’re together and they do.  I was laughing right along with them.

When I told them to give me a serious look - Don suggested the "Blue Steel" pose (Zoolander) - lol

So my personal favorite was a toss up between this one...and the next.

Thank you, both!  Can’t wait for part 2 – the warm weather engagement session and the wedding day!

Kristie & Craig met while they were students at Mt. Union College, so it was pretty fitting that they travel back from Cincinnati to exchange their vows there.  Got some amazing images of the bride and groom in the quickly dying flower garden, which was gorgeous even while taking on it’s Fall appearance and took the group out on the football field for some fun shots.  Then to Avion on the Lake where I finally figured out what a gobo is.  LOL – check out their dance image below, if you’d like to know, too.

Craig is a big Ohio State fan...check out the socks.

Daddy/Daughter dance...love this moment.

Their initials on the wall are being created by a gobo light - a question I had/missed on the CPP Exam the day before. 🙂

Congratulations, Kristie & Craig!  Thanks for allowing us to capture your day.  🙂
