Wedding Season 2015 kicked off in Spring with this super sweet couple – Brittany & Tyler.  She wore ruby red slippers and her grandmothers served as her flower girls.  So many little details that added up to such a beautiful day!  Drake’s Landing is quickly becoming one of my favorite venues and Angie and I worked there several times during the year.  You can see some of my favorite images from their day below!

The Christmas Mini announcement is here!  I will be hosting sessions for two days only – Saturday, November 7th and Sunday, November 8th.  Our site this year will be Pioneer Trails Tree Farm in Poland, Ohio.  Angie and I have lots of fun planned for these and hope to have previews posted soon!

Who is welcome?  Kids, families, couples…including the family dog, if you think he’ll like having his picture taken!  😉 Sessions will begin at 10am on the 7th and will take place in 20 minute increments (so 10, 10:20, 10:40, etc.).  We will start at 10 on the 7th, with the last appt. being taken at 2:40.  Please be timely so that your appt is used to it’s fullest.  On Sunday the 8th, the 1st appointment will begin at noon and last appointment will be at 2:40.

Sessions will then be posted to an online gallery for you to order from that same week.  Choose 3 images for $100 or if you can’t decide, order the entire session for $175.  All images will be delivered electronically with instructions on how to download.

Minis will fill up fast, so here is how to reserve your spot – a $100 non-refundable deposit must be made.  The deposit of $100 does go towards your purchase.  Once you reserve your spot, it cannot be changed – so be sure that it is the time and date that you would like.  Call me at 724-971-2146 or email me at and I will send the invoice and agreement your way to reserve your session!

Thank you so much!  Looking forward to seeing your smiling faces soon!  🙂

Ever wonder how something goes viral on the net?  I had the chance to experience that first hand the day after Desiree & Christian’s beautiful wedding.  🙂  It started out with one of the sweetest couples.  A gorgeous day and tons of amazing details, but one in particular that grabbed everyone’s attention.  Desiree had a very special relationship with her grandfather who had passed on.  In his memory, Desiree had a cut a heart out of one of her grandfather’s shirts and sewn it to her dress.  What made that different…and I what I had never seen before or since…was that she had sewn it on the outside for the world to see – and, boy, did the world see it!  Branden was the DJ that evening and he shared several photos he had taken along with the story behind the heart on Desiree’s dress.  The next day Branden and Ashley (his wife) came for dinner with a story of their own.  The post was going nuts!  Being liked and shared all over…we couldn’t stop checking it all day long (and for days afterward) and the couple was super excited, as well.  But it didn’t stop there, this was a year ago in August and on the anniversary – the post again took off!  And my Facebook page was growing in likes and I couldn’t figure out why!  That’s when I saw Branden’s post being shared, again, with an image that I took of the couple in the comments (300,000+ likes and almost 100,000 shares!).  How crazy that the internet has made the world such a small place.  The story hit the heart of so many people!  Desiree’s grandfather I’m sure is smiling down.  🙂

Kaila and Andrew will soon be celebrating the first anniversary of their wedding last summer.  .This is the 2nd time I’ve gotten to work with the Nelko family and I couldn’t have been more honored.  Plus it’s always a treat to get to work with a family, again.  I’ve had such a blast with them both times.

Kaila was the very first person to meet me in my new studio almost 2 1/2 years ago.  I was giving away a gift certificate that day for my open house and she ended up being the winner.  Bonus!  Check out their gorgeous day below.

Happy Anniversary to them!!

I couldn’t wait for Liz & Kirkland’s wedding day.  The two of them were so incredibly sweet at the engagement.  The way they looked at and treated each other.  High school sweethearts are always my favorite.  On their wedding day, Angie (my friend & assistant) said something that has stuck with me since – “when he looks at her, his eyes smile”.  🙂  That was it.  That was what I was seeing during the engagement session and even more so on the wedding day.

I’m so thankful they welcomed me into that  and honored to have been there to capture it!
