Succop Conservancy pronounced – suck-up – yes, that is how you say it.  It’s a family name.  The property is far more elegant and beautiful than the name it was given.  🙂  A gorgeous old home, guest house, two lakes, a barn and acres upon acres of amazing foliage.  Given it was an outdoor wedding at the end of October, I kept praying for the weather to hold out.  Lots of people must have been, because Johanna and Patrick were blessed with the best weather possible for this time of year.  Perfect for “The Reveal” on the patio, perfect for saying their vows to each other under the blue skies, perfect for dancing in the pavilion with the night surrounding them and later a bonfire to cuddle up to.  Really an awesome day.  One of my favorite shots of the year came from this day and I got to witness one of the greatest toasts ever – Johanna’s friends wrote and sang a song for her and Patrick.  The song was beautiful and so were there voices.  These two were surrounded by awesome friends and family and it was so fun to be a part of it.

Check out some of their images below, but to see more of Johanna & Patrick’s day…click on the video.

Pat & Johanna chose to see each other prior the ceremony, so we did The Reveal on the patio.

...and then we strolled around the property for a few shots.

"Mazel Tov!"

The light here was to die for and this was my favorite image of the day, if not the year.

Congratulations, Johanna & Patrick!  Thanks so much for allowing us to be there to capture your day.

Here’s a couple that I know all too well.  Joey is, in fact, my brother-in-law and to our satisfaction (and surprise) – Leigh has agreed to marry him.  🙂  They will be wed next Fall and so decided that a pumpkin farm would be the perfect place for their e-session.  We headed out to Portersville where the skies were blue, but the pumpkin patch was a little picked over.  No worries.  There were plenty of great spots to choose from.  Here a few of my favorites from their session.

Loved the paper lanterns on the ceiling of the barn.

These two had me going from the start.  Ryan was convinced he was going to be “Chandler Bing” from the day we met (for those of you who were fans of “Friends”, you know what I mean).  Melissa’s father warned during our second meeting that she’s a blinker.  🙂   They were both great!  No blinking and no “Bing” moments.  The colors in the park were gorgeous that day and even though it was threatening rain, the weather held out and the session went off without a hitch (just a tiny bit of rain for about a half a second).  I had a lot of fun walking around with the two of them and can’t wait for their wedding next year!

This tree is always my favorite in the Fall. 🙂

This time of year in PA is just crazy weather-wise.  One day it’s freezing, next day it’s hot, then it’s raining…you get the idea (especially if you live here).  When I met Steve and Jennifer for their session at Westminster College, it was so cold.  But by the time we were finishing up an hour later, I was sweating.  Regardless of the weather, it is always a beautiful place to shoot at and I really enjoyed my session with these two.  Steve is a musician and so we talked about music and we all got to know each other a little better.  I was also told Steve got his wedding gift early and being a techie, I’m quite jealous of his brand new IPad. 😉

Looking forward to the wedding in Spring!

Probably one of the coolest stories I’ve heard lately…Amberly moved all the way from Iowa to meet her soul mate and…they share the same last name (no relation, of course).  That’s right…she doesn’t even have to bother changing her name when they exchange their vows next summer.  I don’t think you realize what a pain that can be, until you actually do it.  🙂

They’ll be getting married close by in New Castle, but they both loved the idea of a city session along with some Fall color in the background.  So we met up in Pittsburgh…one of my favorite areas to shoot in.  They both had great style and are a stunning couple.  Here are some of my favorites from their session.

I love this one.

Amberly's shoes rocked. 🙂

Could be my favorite from the day...

Looking forward to the wedding next year!
