On Sunday, Angie and I got to take a ride out to Pittsburgh (one of our most fav places to be!) to meet up with Casey & Matt.  Casey and I tried to meet face to face on Facetime somewhat unsuccessfully (the phone ended up being easier), but while we met long distance – I could tell right away that she was someone I wanted to work with.  Finally getting to meet them both in person, I know that we’re going to have a lot of fun on their wedding day.  🙂

We decided to start on top of Mount Washington that morning and ended in the theater district.  I really do love this city (and these two are awesome!).  And after a full morning of shooting, Angie and I ended the day at Primanti Bros = yum.

See you two, again, this summer!  Can’t wait!

I couldn’t wait for Liz & Kirkland’s wedding day.  The two of them were so incredibly sweet at the engagement.  The way they looked at and treated each other.  High school sweethearts are always my favorite.  On their wedding day, Angie (my friend & assistant) said something that has stuck with me since – “when he looks at her, his eyes smile”.  🙂  That was it.  That was what I was seeing during the engagement session and even more so on the wedding day.

I’m so thankful they welcomed me into that  and honored to have been there to capture it!

Liz & Kirkland wanted to practice their dance one more time before we left Stambaugh. I love this capture. 🙂

Some things about Ashlee & Jarred: 1.) They are big into golf and are getting married on a golf course. 2.) They are Despicable Me fans (when my phone interrupted with, “It’s so fluffy!” – thanks to my 8 year old daughter – they both got it and let me know it was one of their fav movies, too 🙂 ), 3.) They are really good at faking not being cold and 4.) They are so sweet together.

I’m looking forward to their sunny, warm & beautiful wedding day in July (now that we got all the crappy weather out of the way at the engagement, I think we’re good!)  🙂  See you both soon!

It was rainy, it was cold, but still awesome.  I feel like I talk about the weather so much, but it really sets the tone for the session and to be a professional, you really have to learn to shoot in all kinds of situations.  Sometimes it’s impossible for someone to reschedule especially if they live out of town and, obviously, the wedding day is going to happen whether it’s cloudy, rainy, snowy…whatever! – and so you go with it, whatever it may be.

Brittany & Tyler were so sweet and put up with the drizzly rain we got that day.  We got to shoot on Brittany’s grandparents’ gorgeous property and we even got to use Tyler’s antique truck before the rain started coming down.  I’m really looking forward to their wedding (which will be here very soon!)  🙂

One last senior for now!  The beautiful Allie!  As I said before, new locations are my absolute fav.  It’s like a clean canvas.  We went to Buhl Park, but then we headed to Mercer for something totally different.  I’m trying so hard to remember what the location was called.  I do know it was an old canal of some sort from ages ago.  The old metal bridge that was there was also very cool.  Here is the lovely Allie!  🙂
