Hello! It's me...Michelle (aka Fotogrl on my license plate). I feel completely blessed to be able to earn a living doing something I love for over 15 years now. I'm married to a literal rockstar (he's a drummer...lol). We are parents to one amazing girl and quite a few adorable furry babies. Aside from my family, friends and the obvious (photography) - I love Summer - give me barefeet and heat all year long, The Beatles - (my home office holds all my Beatles collectibles!), chocolate and coffee (Caramel Lattes...yum!). Some other totally random facts about me - I love to dance, but I'm not very good at it. I'm learning to play the guitar (something I have always wanted to do)! I shop (way too much). Cool pieces of jewelry are my favorite things to accessorize with (especially earrings and bracelets). And I very rarely pass on dessert. :)
Since I was a little girl, I've always had a camera in my hand (much thanks to my Grandfather for that). When I was ready to take that love of photography further, the New York Institute of Photography was where I received my professional training. I have a business degree from Youngstown State University (narrowly escaping a career as an accountant). I've been Certified as a Professional Photographer by Professional Photographers of America and continue my education through seminars and competitions. I have been privileged to teach photography and thrilled to have my photos published both locally and nationally (most recently on The Knot, Akron-Canton Weddings and in Pittsburgh Wedding Magazine).
